Bookmarks
SLM bookmarks allow users to save frequently accessed application links for future reference. By bookmarking specific objects and views, users can quickly return to important information without repeatedly navigating through modules and the object hierarchy.
Bookmarks improve productivity by reducing the time required to locate commonly used records. They can be created from any user module and are available through both the left-hand navigation panel and the top toolbar.
This guide explains how to create bookmarks, find saved bookmarks, edit bookmark names, and manage bookmarks within Safety Lifecycle Manager.
What Are SLM Bookmarks?
SLM bookmarks are saved shortcuts that provide quick access to specific objects, records, and views within Safety Lifecycle Manager.
Rather than manually navigating back to frequently used information, users can save bookmarks directly from the current screen and return to them whenever required.
Bookmarks are commonly used for:
- Frequently accessed SIFs
- Specific worksheet views
- SIL calculation tabs
- Project records
- Commonly referenced objects
Bookmarks help users work more efficiently while reducing repetitive navigation throughout the application.

Creating SLM Bookmarks
Creating an SLM bookmark only takes a few steps.
To create a bookmark:
- Open the required user module.
- Navigate to the object or view you want to save.
- Select the required tab if applicable.
- Click the Bookmarks button on the top toolbar.
The bookmark is immediately saved and can be accessed later from the available bookmark lists.
Bookmarks preserve the location you were viewing, making it easy to return directly to important information.
Finding Saved Bookmarks
There are two ways to locate SLM bookmarks.
Method 1 – Left Navigation Panel
- Select the star icon within the left-hand navigation panel.
- View all saved bookmarks for your account.
- Select a bookmark to open the saved location.
Method 2 – Top Toolbar
- Open the Bookmarks dropdown.
- Select My Bookmarks.
- Choose the required bookmark.
Both methods provide quick access to the same saved bookmarks.
Managing SLM Bookmarks
SLM bookmarks can be renamed, organised, and deleted to keep bookmark lists relevant.
To manage bookmarks:
- Open the Bookmarks dropdown.
- Select My Bookmarks.
- Edit the bookmark name if required.
- Save the updated bookmark.
Giving bookmarks meaningful names makes them easier to identify when working with larger bookmark collections.
Editing and Deleting Bookmarks
Bookmarks can be updated whenever requirements change.
Users can:
- Rename existing bookmarks
- Delete bookmarks that are no longer required
- Keep bookmark lists organised
- Create replacement bookmarks where needed
Deleting a bookmark simply removes the saved shortcut. It does not delete the underlying object or data within Safety Lifecycle Manager.
After deletion, the bookmark disappears from both the left navigation panel and the Bookmarks menu.
