SLM-101 Checklists

0:06 Welcome to this application explainer video, part of our SLM 101 topic range.

0:11 In this video we’ll cover the subject of checklists within SLM.

0:16 Checklists provide a pre configured means to track completion of tasks or activities associated with objects or processes in the safety life cycle.

0:25 They can be attached or associated to any object and included in reporting for efficiency in tracking checklist progress and results.

0:33 Common examples include an SRS checklist to track SRS completion for a particular SIF, A checklist to track progress or status in a person’s training or qualifications.

0:48 The following information will be covered in this training.

0:51 Chapter one will be attaching A checklist to an object.

0:54 Chapter 2 will be Completing a checklist, and then Chapter 3 will be managing attached checklists.

1:04 In this chapter, we’ll be covering attaching a checklist to an object and describing the overview format of an attached checklist.

1:12 To start the process for attaching A checklist to a desired object, navigate to your desired module in the object tree, select the object that you would like to attach the checklist to, and in your Templates toolbar, find the Attach Checklist button.

1:42 You can select your checklist and click Save.

1:47 When your checklist has been attached, you’ll see your checklist name and you’ll see all of the items in that checklist.

2:04 If you roll your mouse over it, you can see the specifics or the details of those particular items and its particular status as well.

2:13 To the right, we can see the percentage completion, revisions, and who’s attached or modified that checklist, on which date and which time.

2:26 In Chapter 2, we’ll be covering editing and Attached checklist and viewing the results of a partially or fully completed checklist starting with the checklist that we attached in chapter one.

2:40 To edit a checklist, press the edit button and this allows you to view all the items in this checklist.

2:56 In order to expand these views to see more, you can click on the maximise buttons in the window.

3:01 Here we see the items, the descriptions, and you can then add any findings for this checklist.

3:11 You can select the status for each of these checklist items and as you do, when you press save, these items will be colour coded to see the entire list of the items in the checklist.

3:31 You can Scroll down and you can expand all the options in this table.

3:50 When you’re finished placing the statuses for each of these checklist items, press Save and close your checklist.

4:00 This allows you to see the results in an Overview section, the percentage completion with the number of completed items divided by the total number of items.

4:18 In Chapter 3, we’ll be covering attaching a checklist to an object that already has a checklist attached, Deleting A checklist and attaching the same checklist to the same object.

4:30 When attaching A checklist to an object that already has a checklist attached to it, you will see one checklist or however many checklists that are currently attached.

4:42 You can click on the drop down to view the number of checklists or to view the checklist specifically that have been attached.

4:49 In order to attach another checklist, click on the checklist, click on the Add Checklist button, and then attach the checklist once again.

5:03 If you wish to delete a checklist, there’s a delete button right here.

5:11 Click on the Delete button and confirm that you’d like to delete and save changes and then to attach a checklist that’s already been attached but you would like a new version of that checklist.

5:23 Select add checklist.

5:29 Find the checklist and notice here this time it says archive old one.

5:35 So when you select it and save it will archive the old checklist.

5:41 The new checklist has been attached with the same name and it can be edited that the archive checklist cannot be edited any longer.

5:52 If you’re interested in how we modify checklists, then please check out our system module Video Range.
